Your Kenwood KDC6 freestanding electric cooker is switching on — the light comes on and the fan runs — but the oven or hob rings aren't producing heat. This pattern suggests the cooker is receiving power to its control circuits, but heat generation has failed.
Likely causes

Heating element (most common — about 45% of cases) The electric heating element inside the oven cavity or beneath the hob rings can fail after years of use. A broken or burnt-out element will stop producing heat, even though power is reaching it.
