Listen for motor hum. Start a spin cycle and listen carefully. If the motor hums but the drum doesn't turn, the motor or pulley is likely jammed or broken. If there's no hum at all, the control board may not be sending power.
Check for water leaks. Run a short spin cycle and watch the door and base for drips. A leak suggests a faulty door seal, which prevents spin for safety reasons. Stop the machine if you see water pooling.
Inspect the drain filter. If your model has an accessible drain filter, turn off the machine, open the front panel, and unscrew the filter cap. Empty any lint or debris and rinse. Refit and test a spin cycle.
Do not force the door. If the door lock won't release after a failed spin, do not prise it open – you may damage the interlock. The lock is electronic; call an engineer to unlock it safely.
