Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the SMC Services website (smcservices.co.uk) and any purchases made through it. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Products & Ordering

We sell genuine and compatible spare parts and consumables for domestic appliances. All product descriptions, images and specifications are provided in good faith and are as accurate as possible. However, slight variations may occur between the product shown and the product delivered.

It is your responsibility to ensure that any part you order is compatible with your specific appliance model. If you are unsure, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help confirm suitability.

All orders are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund or a suitable alternative.

Pricing & Payment

All prices shown on our website include VAT at the current rate (20%) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders promptly, typically within 1–2 working days. Delivery times vary depending on the service selected and your location. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the damage so we can resolve the issue quickly.

We deliver across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on order weight and destination.

Repair Services

Our appliance repair services are available across Northern Ireland. When you book a repair, you agree to the following:

  • A call-out fee of £55.00 (including VAT) is payable for each visit. This covers travel and initial diagnosis.
  • Labour is charged at £45.00 per hour (including VAT), billed in 30-minute increments.
  • Additional surcharges may apply for specialist appliances (e.g. range cookers, American fridge freezers) and non-electric fuel types (gas, oil, LPG). Current surcharges are listed on our Repair Pricing page.
  • A travel surcharge of £20.00 applies for addresses outside our primary coverage zone (BT74, BT75, BT92, BT93, BT94).
  • Parts required for repairs are charged separately at the applicable retail price.
  • If you cancel a booked appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, the call-out fee may still be payable.

All repair work is carried out by experienced, qualified technicians. We guarantee our workmanship for 90 days from the date of repair. This guarantee covers the labour element only — parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

Returns & Refunds

Our full returns and refunds policy is available on our Returns & Refunds Policy page. Key points include:

  • Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused, unopened and in resalable condition.
  • A 25% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns.
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • Opened, used, fitted or special-order items cannot be returned except where proven to be faulty.

If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange a replacement or refund.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and software — is the property of SMC Services or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SMC Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, products or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
