Problem summary
Leaking from the front corner or bottom of your Nordmende DF63 integrated dishwasher is often a sign that water is escaping during the wash cycle or drainage. This commonly pools under the kickboard or appears at the bottom left corner. The leak may be visible from day one or develop over time.
Likely causes
Based on repair records for this model, the most common causes are:
Door seal (worn or displaced)
The rubber seal around the door edge is the top suspect. Over time, seals compress, crack, or come away from the frame, allowing water to escape during the wash cycle. This is particularly likely if the leak appears from the front during operation.
Drain pump failure
If water leaks during the drain phase or sits at the bottom of the tub, the pump may not be expelling water properly. A faulty pump can also cause water to back up and escape through weak points.
Inlet or outlet hose issues
Internal hoses can crack, split, or come loose at connection points, especially on the inlet (water in) side. Leaks from hoses are often from the bottom or sides of the appliance.
Control board fault (less common)
Electrical faults can cause the appliance to fill incorrectly or fail to drain, leading to overflow and leaking.
What you can try yourself (DIY)
If you're confident working with your dishwasher, you can inspect and sometimes replace wear parts yourself:
Check the door seal
Open the door fully and run your finger around the rubber seal. Look for gaps, cracks, or hardened areas. If it's visibly damaged or loose, replacement seals are available and can usually be fitted without tools.
Inspect visible hoses
If your model allows access to the inlet hose (usually at the back), check for splits or loose connection clips. Make sure the hose isn't kinked or pinched.
Empty and inspect the filter
Remove the lower spray arm and filter. Clear any debris that might be blocking drainage, then refit and test.
Look for standing water
Run a short cycle and listen for the drain pump. If you hear no draining sound or water remains in the tub, the pump may need replacement.
