Problem summary
Your Nordmende integrated dishwasher is not draining water at the end of a cycle. Water remains in the tub after the programme finishes, or drains very slowly. This is one of the more common faults reported on models in the Nordmende range.
Likely causes
Based on 70 repair records, the most frequent causes are:
Drain pump failure (around 30% of cases)
The pump that forces water out of the tub can fail electrically or mechanically. If the pump has stopped working entirely, water will not drain regardless of other settings.
Control board (PCB) fault (around 6% of cases)
The main circuit board tells the pump when to run. If this board is faulty, the pump may not receive the signal to activate, leaving water in the tub.
Blocked or kinked drain hose (around 3% of cases)
The hose that carries water to the waste outlet can become blocked by debris or trapped between the dishwasher and the wall.
Why this needs an engineer
The drain pump is a sealed unit connected to the appliance's electrical circuit. Replacing it requires:
- Electrical work on mains-powered components
- Safe handling of sealed water systems
- Proper testing to verify the repair
Diagnosis of a faulty control board also requires electrical testing equipment.
If the hose is blocked internally, it may need flushing or replacement — work that should be done by someone with access to the correct tools and replacement parts.
Do not attempt to bypass the pump, force water out manually, or open sealed electrical components yourself. These actions risk water damage, electric shock, or voiding your appliance's safety.
Before you call
If water is sitting in the tub, check whether the drain outlet outside the appliance (or connected to your waste system) is itself blocked. Pour water down the outlet by hand to see if it drains freely. If the outlet is clear but the dishwasher still won't drain, the fault is inside the appliance.
