Your LOGIK washing machine is retaining water and either won't spin or won't complete the drain cycle. Water remains in the drum at the end of the cycle, or the machine stops partway through with water still inside.

The PCB (circuit board) controls pump operation. If it's faulty, the pump won't receive the signal to drain, even if the pump itself works.

Drum seal or bearing failure (9% of cases)
If the drum seal leaks or the bearing fails, water can accumulate in the outer tub and trigger safety interlocks that prevent spinning and draining.

Less commonly, the interlock switch (which detects whether the door is closed) can prevent the drain cycle from starting, or the waste hose may be blocked or positioned incorrectly.

  1. Safety first. Switch off the machine at the wall socket. Do not attempt to manually rotate the drum or force open the door.
  2. Check for visible blockages. Look at the waste hose at the back of the machine. Make sure it isn't kinked, twisted, or pushed too far into a standpipe. If it looks clear, do not dismantle further.
  3. Drain the water. Locate the emergency drain plug (usually a small cap at the bottom front). Place a bowl underneath, turn it gently anticlockwise, and let water flow out. Refer to your manual for the exact location.
  4. Clean the filter (if accessible). Some models have a small filter cap accessible from the front. If yours does, unscrew it gently, remove any lint or debris, rinse under running water, and refit. If the filter is not accessible without tools, leave this for an engineer.
  5. Call an engineer. If the machine still won't drain after checking these points, the pump, control board, or drum seal needs professional diagnosis and repair.

Should I try to empty the water myself before calling an engineer?
If water is sitting in the machine, you can try turning off the power and locating the emergency drain plug (usually a small cap at the bottom front of the machine). Place a bowl underneath and open it gently to let water flow out. Refer to your manual for the exact location. Do not force it. Once empty, switch the machine off at the wall and call an engineer.
Could a kinked or blocked drain hose be the problem?
Yes, this is common. Check that the waste hose at the back of the machine isn't bent sharply, twisted, or pushed too far into a standpipe (it should sit just inside, not wedged). If the hose looks clear, a blockage inside it requires tools to disconnect and clear safely. An engineer can do this as part of a full diagnosis.
What's the filter you mention, and can I clean it?
Most LOGIK models have a small filter trap in the pump housing. It catches lint and debris. Some are accessible from the front (via a small door or cap), and you can rinse it under running water. Refer to your manual. However, if cleaning the filter doesn't restore drainage, the pump itself may be faulty.
